Sahasrara, Crown Chakra

Our Crown Chakra is the seventh chakra, located at the crown of the head. "Sahasrara" is translated as "Thousand Petals." Our Crown connects us to the Universe and the Divine source of Creation. The gift of this chakra is experiencing unity and the selfless realization that everything is connected. This energy of this chakra allows us to experience mystical Oneness with all things.

Sahasrara is associated to the pituitary gland, and secondarily to the pineal and hypothalamus. As the source of enlightenment and Spiritual connection to all that IS, the Sahasrara is the connection to our highest selves, every being on the planet and to the Divine energy that creates all things and life forms in the Universe.

Sahasrara is associated with Consciousness and awareness of, wisdom of the Sacred, Connection with the formless & limitless, realization as liberation from limiting patterns, communion with higher states of Consciousness, Bliss and Presence. A balanced Crown chakra will help us transcend our limitations, we feel a state of blissful Union with all that IS, of spiritual ecstasy. This chakra allows access to the upmost clarity and enlightened wisdom. This is the gateway to the Cosmic, Divine & Higher Self.

Imbalances with this chakra include: disconnection with Spirit, cynicism regarding what is Sacred, manifestation of feeling disconnected with your body, living in your head while being disconnected with earthly matters, obsessive attachment to Spiritual matters, close-mindedness, feelings of living life without real meaning or purpose or direction, living in a state of constant worry, secular thinking, distrust or disbelief in Spirituality. Physical manifestations of imbalance could include: dementia, alzheimers, nervous system disorders, sleep dysfunction, glandular disorders, chronic pain, or other mental disorders, headache, migraine, light sensitivity or autoimmune disorders.

Part of the body & organs affected include: cerebral cortex, hypothalamus, pituitary gland and central nervous system.

When working with an individual oil, you may roll-on to wrist points, behind the ears, or the Chakra point itself (at the crown of your head). When using multiple Chakra Balancing oils, place the oil on each Chakra point you are working to harmonize.
